Lodovica Guarnieri works at the convergence of design, activism and science. Her practice grapples with technoscience as it relates to environmental and social justice, coloniality and climate change. Hovering between social fabulation and scientific facts, ethnography and fiction, she uses performance and installation as a participative pedagogical format to interrogate the technical and political production of nature and history as contested sites of power, as well as sites of resistance to dominant narratives. Lodovica has worked as research assistant of Lorenzo Pezzani on the project Hostile Environment(s), as curatorial research assistant for Manifesta 12 and as researcher and assistant curator for the exhibition The Way Beyond Art at Van Abbemuseum. Her work has been presented at the Lisbon Architecture Triennial, Bureau Europa, Stroom Den Haag, Screen City Biennial, VIPER Gallery, MAO Ljubljana and Depot Basel among other institutions. She holds an MA in Research Architecture, Goldsmiths University of London.
