Kunsthal Aarhus

Kunsthal Aarhus is a professional contemporary art centre, providing the city and the region with art of international significance. They function as a framework for experimentation and critical engagement and as a platform for participatory, collaborative and trans-disciplinary dialogue and exchange also connecting to broader culture and social concerns. Along with their running exhibition program, they have an extensive public program for university students, the art scene in Aarhus and Denmark, and tailor-made programs for children.

Kunsthal Aarhus will be in charge of organizing two activities in the framework of the project. Firstly, it will organise a professional workshop focusing on parallels in collaborative arts practices within mid-sized Nordic and Mediterranean cities. In addition, Kunsthal Aarhus will organize a visual showcase part of the caravan residency outcomes. Kunsthal Aarhus will also contribute to the overall curatorial concept of the caravan residency programme and to the communication and dissemination activities at the national and local level with a focus on contemporary artists.
